Title: Sales Engineer

Reports to Vice President of Sales

IBS America provides quality management software and services that are heads-and-shoulders better than the competion's. We are looking for an enthusiastic and articulate person to join our sales team in the role of Sales Engineer. The primary duties of the Sales Engineer is to organize and present compelling demonstrations of our software to qualified prospects and to answer technical questions about how the software is used to solve important business problems and how the software might be deployed within the enterprise.

The Sales Engineer will sometimes give presentations using Powerpoint. The Sales Engineer (SE) must be able to use Powerpoint features to create presentations. More important, the SE must have the ability to organize pre-sale material into clear and compelling presentations that grab and hold the audience. Some training in giving effective demonstrations, such as "Great Demo" would be nice. The ability to craft and tell a good story is essential.

At other times the SE will give demonstrations of live software using examples that were purpose-built to illustrate the capabilities needed by a particular prospect. Therefore, the SE will need to learn our application software and be comfortable using it. From the technical side, knowledge of web technologies (HTML, Javascript, Java) will be helpful, as would a knowledge of relational databases.

We are acknowledged experts in the application of technology to support quality management within the enterprise. Our customers are manufacturing and production companies around the world. A strong candidate will come with a background in manufacturing processes and terminology. Experience using or in selling enterprise software is a plus. The ideal candidate would have expertise in the domain of quality management, and may possibly have already worked with quality management software from us or from other vendors. A bachelor's of science in engineering with at least three years of experience is desired.

Many of the meetings we conduct are held using WebEx, remote meeting technology. Consequently, a pleasant speaking voice and manner are important. There is a requirement for conducting a limited number of meetings in person and so there would be some travel as well.

IBS is offering a very competitive salary and bonus possibilities for this position. More importantly, IBS America is a great place to work: with a collegial atmosphere and an attitude of "can-do," and "let me help". IBS benefits are first-rate with a terrific health insurance plan and generous vacation policy. Give us a call. You'll be glad you did.
