Java SE Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
We are looking for a dynamic and flexible person as Senior Quality Engineer in our evolving Java SE-based product line, Compliant Pro(TM). CompliantPro is the leading compliance management software based on Java SE. You will execute the overall quality assurance and release management processes, and thus have knowledge of the full software development lifecycle. Since CompliantPro drops into a customer's existing system topology with touch-points to the web application server, database server, LDAP server and email server, you will have good knowledge of the same. In addition, you must be detail-oriented, be able to adhere to tight deadlines, and be accountable for all deliverables, as well as working in a small-team environment, and be comfortable interacting with other business functions, such as product management, product development, technical support and implementation services. This position is approximately 50% quality assurance and 50% release management.
The specific responsibilities for the position are:
- Preparation of test plans and test scripts derived from product design and technical specification documents.
- Write automated test cases (functional, load, performance, stress) and user test cases.
- Execute the test cases.
- Data capture and results analysis and be able to communicate them to others,
- Manage and package the CompliantPro source code from a quality assurance and build management perspective, including scripting,
- Create and manage the various CompliantPro quality assurance systems in a virtualized environment,
- As Senior QA Engineer, you will have the following qualities:
- Individual contributor responsible for design and execution of the quality assurance process
- Able to meet tight deadlines, based on specific tasks and milestones, and
- Accountable for all deliverables
As such, we would expect that you possess the following qualifications:
- 5+ years mix of software development and quality assurance experience, with at least 3 years of Java SE application development or quality assurance.
- Testing methodologies - unit, functional, regression, UI, load, performance, stress, integration and systems testing,
- Testing frameworks and tools - JUnit, OptimizeIt, Empirix or similar
- Demonstrated experience with at least one of each of the following system sets
- MS Windows Server 2008 or RH Linux 5/6;
- MS SQL 2008 or Oracle 11g; plus
- Apache Tomcat 7
- VMWare vSphere 5,
- Apache Subversion or CVS, and
- Apache Ant, or similar
- Experience with MS Active Directory, LDAP and SMTP servers highly desirable,
- Experiencee with Eclipse 3.1 or similar IDE,
- Certification as a Sun JCD Java SE Application Developer, or equivalent is a strong plus (JavaScript, Java, HTML, XML),
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, or ISO 14000 desirable,
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

This position carries quarterly and annual quotas and is based in our Lexington, MA offices.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage and close sales opportunities through opportunity management, account resource allocation, account strategy and planning, and forecasting
- Organize sales activities and document them in our CRM system
- Sell the value of our technology to executive decision makers and Quality Managers
- Drive sales over the internet through web based discovery calls and presentations
- Increase pipeline through demand generation and targeted campaigns to our installed base of accounts
- Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and technologies, competitors, industry trends
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in engineering or BA degree with working experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles, with a track record of successful revenue attainment
- Demonstrated knowledge of complex software sales
